Programme Readiness & Cutover Lead

Contract Duration: Until April 2027 Location: Edinburgh (required onsite once a fortnight)

We are seeking an experienced Programme Readiness & Cutover Lead to join our team, supporting a major organisational and technology transformation client. This role is crucial for ensuring a smooth transition of responsibilities and systems between organisations, focusing on readiness assessment, risk management, and stakeholder engagement.

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Design and implement a structured programme readiness assessment framework, defining criteria and methods across multiple workstreams.
  • Conduct formal readiness reviews, validate supporting evidence, and provide objective assessments of programme preparedness.
  • Support the planning and coordination of cross-workstream cutover activities, ensuring all dependencies are tracked and addressed.
  • Provide governance and risk management by identifying delivery risks and readiness gaps, offering independent assurance to programme leadership.
  • Engage with various stakeholders, facilitating readiness workshops and providing clear reporting to leadership and governance boards.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in programme readiness, business readiness, or organisational readiness assessments within complex environments.
  • Strong background in programme management, business analysis, business change, or transformation management.
  • Experience with risk management, creating executive-level reports, and providing governance updates.
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement skills, capable of conducting workshops and challenging discussions constructively.
  • Good understanding of Digital, Data, and Technology (DDaT) environments and experience in technology-enabled business transformation initiatives.
  • Experience within Government, Public Sector or regulated environments is highly beneficial.
