An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Procurement Specialist to join a successful and growing organisation based in the Crawley area. This role offers the chance to work in a fast-paced commercial environment, supporting the sourcing and supply of equipment, materials and services.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing supplier relationships, negotiating commercial agreements, preparing quotations and ensuring customer requirements are delivered effectively and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

  • Source and procure equipment, materials and services from a broad supplier network.
  • Negotiate pricing, terms and delivery schedules to achieve the best commercial outcome.
  • Manage customer enquiries and requests for quotation from initial receipt through to submission.
  • Liaise with customers, suppliers and internal teams to ensure requirements are understood and delivered successfully.
  • Assess supplier capabilities and proposals against commercial and technical requirements.
  • Ensure quotations and orders are accurate, compliant and completed within agreed timescales.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation throughout the procurement process.
  • Support supply chain activities and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

About You

  • Previous experience within procurement, purchasing or sourcing.
  • Strong supplier negotiation and relationship management skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • The ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines effectively.
  • Strong attention to detail and commercial awareness.
  • Experience working with international suppliers and logistics processes would be advantageous.
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
  • A proactive and collaborative approach to problem solving.
