SEND Lunch Support

Hourly Rate: £14.24 Location: South Norwood Job Type: Part-time (5 days a week, 10:30 AM - 1:30 PM)

We are seeking a dedicated SEND Lunch Support staff member to join our team at a SEND school in South Norwood. This role is crucial in providing a safe and supportive environment for students during lunchtime.

Day-to-day of the role:

• Supervise students during lunch breaks to ensure a safe, orderly, and nurturing environment.
• Assist students with special educational needs and disabilities during meal times, ensuring they have a positive dining experience.
• Facilitate social interactions and promote inclusive activities among students.
• Respond to any incidents or emergencies with professionalism and care.
• Collaborate with teaching and support staff to implement strategies that support student welfare.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Experience working with children, particularly those with special educational needs and disabilities.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• A compassionate and patient approach.
• Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to undergo this check).
