Are you a passionate and dedicated Early Years Teaching Assistant looking for a rewarding opportunity within a welcoming primary school?

We are recruiting on behalf of a supportive and inclusive primary school in Chatham seeking an enthusiastic EYFS Teaching Assistant to join their Early Years team. This is an exciting opportunity with the potential for a long-term, 2-year contract for the right candidate.

The Role

• Supporting the class teacher in delivering engaging Early Years learning activities
• Working with children on a 1:1 basis and in small groups
• Promoting children's learning, development and wellbeing through play-based learning
• Supporting phonics, early literacy and numeracy activities
• Helping to create a safe, nurturing and stimulating classroom environment
• Encouraging positive behaviour and social development

Requirements

• Previous experience working within an EYFS setting is essential
• A good understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills
• A patient, caring and proactive approach
• Experience supporting children with additional needs is desirable but not essential
• Relevant Teaching Assistant or Early Years qualification is desirable
