Police Coordinator

A law enforcement organisation based in Lancashire is seeking a highly organised and analytical individual to join the team as an OCGM & POLICE GENGA Coordinator. This is a unique opportunity to support response to serious and organised crime by coordinating intelligence, partnership activity, and multi-agency interventions that help keep Lancashire's communities safe.

Working closely with police officers, intelligence teams, local authorities, and partner agencies, you will play a key role in delivering the nationally recognised 4P approach to tackling organised crime: Prevent, Protect, Pursue and Prepare.

Full on-the-job training will be provided, making this an excellent opportunity for candidates with experience in intelligence, investigations, partnership working, compliance, public sector operations, safeguarding, or analytical roles.

This is an initial contract until 31st March 2027 based in Blackburn (hybrid working is 1 day per week working from home post training), the hourly rate for the role is £15.48 per hour via PAYE + holiday pay and benefits. If successful you will need to go through the relevant vetting.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate and manage the Organised Crime Group Mapping (OCGM) process across the BCU.
• Gather, assess and integrate intelligence from internal teams and external partner organisations.
• Review organised crime data to ensure accurate and consistent threat assessments.
• Support tasking and coordination meetings by providing updates on organised crime threats and disruption opportunities.
• Assist in producing management reports, intelligence summaries, and performance information.
• Act as the local Single Point of Contact (SPOC) for GENGA referrals.
• Organise and support multi-agency GENGA meetings, including agendas, briefings, and reports.
• Build and maintain strong working relationships with police departments and partner agencies.
• Coordinate activity through partnership management systems and support effective information sharing.
• Support Lead Responsible Officers and frontline teams in delivering the 4P strategy.
• Identify innovative opportunities to disrupt organised crime and protect communities.

Essential Experience & Skills

• Experience interpreting legislation, policies, or procedures relating to intelligence, investigations, risk management, compliance, safeguarding, or organised crime.
• Experience gathering, analysing, and presenting information to support decision-making.
• Ability to produce accurate reports and management information using data, statistics, graphs, and trends.
• Experience working with databases and information management systems.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience working in partnership with internal teams and external organisations.
• Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and confidentiality.
• Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
• Ability to work independently, prioritise workloads, and solve problems effectively.
