About the company
An established engineering business is expanding its mechanical engineering capability to support industrial and energy projects, including process plants, gas turbine installations and modular equipment packages.
Your tasks
Depending on your technical experience, you'll be involved in:
- Piping routing and layout design for industrial equipment and installations.
- Developing and reviewing 3D models, GAs and isometric drawings.
- Pipe stress and flexibility analysis.
- Designing piping supports and assessing equipment and nozzle loads.
- Reviewing specifications, P&IDs and relevant design codes.
- Performing mechanical calculations for piping systems and associated equipment.
- Working with multidisciplinary engineering teams to produce practical, compliant designs.
Requirements
Are you a Mechanical Engineer specialising in piping design, plant layout or pipe stress analysis?
You'll have experience in industrial piping design and/or pipe stress analysis, using recognised engineering software.
Knowledge of at least one relevant code, such as ASME B31.1, ASME B31.3 or EN 13480, is essential.
Experience with Excel or Mathcad calculations and an understanding of piping supports and mechanical detailing will also be important.
Experience covering both piping layout and stress analysis would be beneficial, but is not essential.
How to apply
If you enjoy technical piping engineering and want to work on challenging industrial projects, I'd welcome a confidential conversation.
