Personal Tax Senior (Temporary)

About the company

A well-established boutique accountancy practice in Central London is seeking an experienced Personal Tax Senior to support the team during the busy tax season. This is an excellent opportunity for a tax professional looking to join a collaborative and client-focused environment, with the potential for the role to become permanent for the right individual.

Your tasks

Working closely with Partners and the wider Tax team, you will manage a portfolio of private clients and provide high-quality personal tax compliance services throughout the peak period.

Key responsibilities include

• Managing a portfolio of personal tax clients, including HNWIs, directors, entrepreneurs, and partnerships.
• Preparing and reviewing Self Assessment tax returns.
• Liaising directly with clients to gather information and resolve queries.
• Identifying tax planning opportunities and supporting advisory projects where appropriate.
• Dealing with HMRC correspondence and client enquiries.
• Assisting with tax deadlines and ensuring all compliance work is completed accurately and efficiently.
• Supporting junior team members when required.

Requirements

The successful candidate will have

• Previous experience working in a Personal Tax Senior or equivalent position within an accountancy practice.
• Strong technical knowledge of UK personal tax compliance.
• Experience managing a portfolio of private clients independently.
• Excellent communication and client relationship management skills.
• ATT qualified, part-qualified CTA, or qualified by experience.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment during peak tax periods.
