About the Opportunity

Our client, a highly regarded organisation based in South Lanarkshire, is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Onboarding Administrator to join their friendly and professional team. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting the end-to-end onboarding process, ensuring all administration is completed accurately, efficiently, and in line with company procedures. Candidates with previous experience in HR, Recruitment, or Payroll Administration will be particularly well suited to this role.

This position is fully site-based, offering the opportunity to work closely with colleagues and build strong relationships across the business.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and manage all aspects of the employee onboarding process.
  • Prepare and issue employment contracts, offer letters, and new starter documentation.
  • Ensure all pre-employment checks are completed accurately and within required timescales.
  • Maintain and update employee records, ensuring data accuracy and confidentiality.
  • Liaise with hiring managers, HR teams, payroll, and new starters to facilitate a smooth onboarding experience.
  • Process right-to-work documentation and other compliance-related checks.
  • Support payroll with new starter information and employee data updates.
  • Monitor onboarding progress and proactively follow up on outstanding actions.
  • Respond to employee and manager queries in a professional and timely manner.
  • Assist with general administration duties and support wider HR activities as required.

Essential Skills & Experience

  • Previous administration experience within HR, Recruitment, Payroll , or a similar people-focused environment.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and strong organisational skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritise effectively.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Experience handling confidential information with discretion and professionalism.
  • A proactive and positive approach to problem-solving.

Desirable

  • Experience supporting employee onboarding or recruitment administration processes.
  • Familiarity with HR or payroll systems.
  • Understanding of employment documentation and compliance requirements.
