Nursery Practitioner

Location: Bury St Edmunds

Salary: £14.50 - £17.00 per hour

Join a nurturing and innovative team as a Nursery Practitioner in a private nursery setting. This role is ideal for someone passionate about early childhood education and looking to make a significant impact in the developmental stages of young children.

Day-to-day of the role:

• Engage children in activities that encourage learning and development.
• Monitor and support the learning of the children, including observing, assessing, and recording their progress.
• Ensure the health and safety of children at all times.
• Assist with meal times and routines.
• Communicate effectively with parents and carers about their children’s day and development.
• Maintain a clean and safe environment for children.
• Work collaboratively with other team members to plan and coordinate activities.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Must hold at least a Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in Childcare.
• Previous experience in a nursery setting is preferred.
• Strong understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) and its application in learning activities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work as part of a team and build relationships with children, parents, and colleagues.
• A commitment to the care and wellbeing of young children.
