Multi-Skilled Flagger

Location: Bury, Greater Manchester (Based at 6 Knowsley Place, Angouleme Way, Bury, BL9 0EL)

Pay Rate: £18.00 - £20.00 per hour paye Contract: Full Time | 3 - 4 Month Temporary Contract

Bury Council is looking for a skilled and motivated Multi-Skilled Flagger to join their successful repairs and maintenance team on a full-time basis for an initial 3-4 month contract.

This role involves carrying out all aspects of flagging, paving, drainage, pathways, groundwork and associated external repairs across council-owned properties and housing stock throughout the Borough of Bury. You will play a key role in delivering high-quality repairs and excellent customer service to residents within occupied and void social housing properties.

Day-to-day of the role:

• Carry out repairs, renewals and installations of flags, paving, paths, steps and external surfaces.
• Complete drainage repairs and associated groundwork projects.
• Undertake minor masonry and external building repairs.
• Carry out work on occupied properties, void properties, planned maintenance schemes and capital investment programmes.
• Deliver repairs to a high standard whilst following all health and safety procedures.
• Accurately complete all required job documentation using manual or mobile systems.
• Maintain excellent customer service standards and communicate effectively with tenants and residents.
• Manage appointments efficiently and keep customers informed of any delays.
• Ensure company vehicles, tools, materials and equipment are maintained and secured appropriately.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues and undertake additional trade tasks in line with the Council's Multi-Skilling Agreement where appropriate.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Proven experience in flagging, paving, drainage and groundwork repairs.
• Previous experience working within social housing, local authority maintenance or a similar domestic repairs environment.
• Experience carrying out external repair works on residential properties.
• Full, clean UK Driving Licence.
• Own hand tools relevant to the role.
• Strong understanding of health and safety legislation and safe working practices.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to accurately complete job records and paperwork.
• A company vehicle may be provided for business use only while at work
