Reed Further Education is delighted to be recruiting for a Teacher of Media on behalf of a leading Further Education provider in Derby. This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate and creative media professional to join a thriving curriculum area and inspire Level 3 learners.
If you have a strong background in media and enjoy helping students develop their skills for higher education and industry careers, we'd love to hear from you!
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging and high-quality Media lessons to Level 3 learners
- Teach a mix of practical and theory-based media content
- Act as a Personal Tutor, providing learner support and guidance
- Assess student work and provide constructive feedback
- Monitor learner progress and maintain accurate records
- Complete registers and associated administrative duties
- Maintain positive classroom management and learner engagement
- Support students in achieving their qualification outcomes
? The Ideal Candidate Will Have
A qualification in Media or a related discipline, such as:
- Graphic Design
- Motion Graphics
- UI/UX Design
- A Level 4 qualification or above in a relevant subject
- Experience delivering or assessing BTEC and/or UAL qualifications
- Strong industry knowledge and practical media skills
- Excellent communication and classroom management skills
- A teaching qualification such as a PGCE (desirable but not essential)
- Experience working with Further Education learners (desirable)
