About the company
Glasgow/Clydebank Area | Up to £47,000 We're working with a well-established business in the Glasgow area that is looking to add a Management Accountant to its finance team on a 12-month fixed-term contract.
This is a fantastic opportunity for an ACCA finalist looking to step into a broad management accounting role where they can make a real contribution while continuing their professional development.
Your tasks
- Producing monthly management accounts, including analysis and commentary on key variances
- Taking ownership of balance sheet reconciliations
- Supporting budgeting, forecasting and annual planning processes
- Analysing financial performance and providing insight to stakeholders
- Working closely with managers across the business to help them understand and improve performance
- Supporting internal and external audit requirements
- Identifying opportunities to improve financial processes and controls
- Assisting with projects and ad hoc financial analysis as required
Requirements
This role would suit an ambitious ACCA finalist who is actively progressing through the Strategic Professional stage of their qualification and is keen to gain broader commercial exposure in a business-facing finance role. You'll work closely with senior finance colleagues and operational managers, helping to deliver meaningful financial information that supports decision-making across the organisation.
- Degree qualified or equivalent within Finance, Accounting or a related discipline
- Currently studying ACCA and at finalist level (Strategic Professional stage)
- Previous experience preparing monthly management accounts within a commercial environment
- Strong reconciliation and financial analysis skills
- Experience dealing with auditors and supporting year-end processes
- Confident communicator who can build relationships with stakeholders at all levels
- Strong Excel skills and good working knowledge of Microsoft Office
- A proactive approach and willingness to challenge, improve and add value
