Reed Further Education are recruiting for an experienced Teacher of Machining (CNC) to join a well-established engineering training provider on a temporary basis. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled engineering professional with CNC machining experience to support Level 3 learners within a practical workshop environment, helping to develop the next generation of engineering talent.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver practical teaching and assessment within an engineering workshop.
  • Teach CNC machining, including CNC turning techniques.
  • Support learners undertaking manual milling and turning activities.
  • Assess learner performance and provide constructive feedback.
  • Maintain a safe and engaging learning environment.

The Ideal Candidate Will Have

  • A Level 3 qualification in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
  • The ability to teach CNC machining, manual milling and manual turning.
  • Previous teaching, training, assessing or industry experience within engineering/manufacturing.
  • Strong workshop and practical delivery skills.
  • A passion for developing learners and apprentices.
  • Enhanced DBS or willing to get one
