Locksmith Trainer Location: Wakefield Contract Type: Self-Employed / Flexible Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience About the Opportunity Are you an experienced locksmith looking for a new challenge? We are seeking a skilled and motivated Locksmith Trainer to join the UK's only accredited locksmith training centre. This is an exciting opportunity to step into a rewarding training role, helping to develop the next generation of professional locksmiths while maintaining the flexibility of self-employed work. Whether you have previous training experience or are completely new to teaching, full support and tuition will be provided to help you become a confident and successful trainer. Key Responsibilities Deliver practical, hands-on locksmith training courses at our Wakefield training centre. Provide engaging instruction to learners with varying levels of experience. Teach a range of locksmithing techniques, including: Lock picking Non-destructive entry methods uPVC and multipoint locking systems High-security lock entry techniques

Assess learner progress and provide constructive feedback and guidance. Ensure training is delivered in line with City & Guilds accredited standards. Maintain a safe and professional learning environment. Support the continued reputation and delivery of industry-leading locksmith training. Attend client premises to deliver training when required (approximately 10% travel). Person Specification Essential Skills & Experience Extensive hands-on experience working as a professional locksmith. Strong knowledge of domestic and/or commercial locksmithing. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to explain technical information clearly and patiently. Passion for the locksmithing industry and developing others. Professional, reliable, and well-presented approach. Full UK driving licence. Desirable Previous training, coaching, mentoring, or assessing experience. Experience delivering demonstrations or practical workshops. Relevant industry qualifications. Please note: Previous training experience is not essential. Full training and ongoing support will be provided to help successful candidates transition into a training role.
