Loan officer

An international bank based in the City of London is seeking a Loan & Credit Officer to support its lending and credit operations activities.

This is an excellent opportunity for a banking professional with experience in L oans Administration, Credit Administration, Middle Office or Operations to join a collaborative team and gain broad exposure across loan servicing, credit monitoring and operational support.

Key Responsibilities

• Support Credit Committee administration and maintain credit-related records and reporting.
• Monitor internal ratings, collateral, covenants and financial information requirements.
• Coordinate guarantees and treasury documentation.
• Act as the key liaison between Relationship Managers and the bank's shared service centre.
• Review facility and security documentation and support the booking and maintenance of lending facilities.
• Monitor conditions precedent/subsequent and ongoing credit obligations.
• Handle customer queries, payment investigations and account administration activities.

Candidate Profile

• Experience in Loans Administration, Credit Administration, Banking Operations or Middle Office.
• Knowledge of corporate, commercial, syndicated or project finance lending.
• Understanding of credit documentation, collateral management and covenant monitoring.
• Loan IQ experience would be advantageous.
• Familiarity with ISDA and MiFID documentation is desirable.
• Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail.
• Effective communicator with the ability to manage multiple stakeholders and deadlines.
