Lecturer Mechanical Engineering
Location: Derby Hours: 34 hours per week Contract: Temporary Duration: 2nd November 2026 to 18th December 2026
Reed Further Education are currently recruiting for an experienced Teacher of Mechanical Engineering to join a leading education provider on a temporary basis.
This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified Mechanical Engineering professional with teaching experience to deliver engaging lessons to Level 3 learners and support them in achieving their qualifications.
Responsibilities
- Deliver Mechanical Engineering lessons to Level 3 learners
- Teach some Mathematics as part of the curriculum
- Mark and assess learner work
- Provide constructive feedback and support learner progress
- Maintain accurate learner records and contribute to quality processes
- Deliver engaging and inclusive learning sessions
Requirements
- Mechanical Engineering degree or equivalent qualification
- Assessor qualification (A1, TAQA, CAVA or equivalent)
- Previous teaching, training or lecturing experience within Mechanical Engineering
- Strong communication and classroom management skills
- Ability to motivate and support learners to achieve their potential
- Enhanced DBS or willing to obtain one
