Inventory & Materials Coordinator- 6month FTC

Are you an experienced Inventory Controller, Stock Controller or Materials Coordinator with strong ERP system experience, ideally Oracle Cloud ? Do you enjoy getting to the root cause of stock discrepancies and take pride in maintaining exceptional inventory accuracy?

My client, a successful and growing manufacturing business in Deeside, is looking for an Inventory Controller to take ownership of stock accuracy across site. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a strong stock control background who is confident working with large volumes of inventory data, cycle counts, reconciliations and ERP-driven inventory management.

What You'll Be Doing

• Managing the site cycle count programme through Oracle Cloud ERP , including ABC classification and count scheduling.
• Maintaining high levels of Inventory Record Accuracy (IRA) through regular stock checks and investigations.
• Investigating stock variances, identifying root causes and processing inventory adjustments.
• Reconciling raw materials, bulk tank stock and work-in-progress inventory.
• Monitoring and resolving negative stock balances, material shortages and MRP exceptions.
• Supporting month-end inventory reporting, reconciliations and annual stocktakes.
• Reviewing obsolete, damaged or expired stock and making recommendations for action.
• Producing inventory reports and supporting internal and external audits.
• Working closely with Production, Operations, Finance and Supply Chain teams to improve inventory processes and controls.

What We're Looking For

• At least 2 years' stock control, inventory management or materials planning experience within a manufacturing environment
• Strong experience using ERP systems , with Oracle Cloud experience highly desirable
• Excellent understanding of:
• Cycle counting
• Stock reconciliations
• Inventory variance investigations
• Inventory controls and reporting
• MRP processes
• Knowledge of BOMs, backflushing and material consumption analysis
• Strong Excel skills, including lookups, pivot tables and data reconciliation
• Someone who is analytical, detail-focused and confident challenging stock discrepancies and driving improvements
