Our client is looking for an Import & Export Coordinator to join their growing team and play a key role in managing the movement of goods across global markets.
The Opportunity
This is an exciting opportunity to join a well-established and successful business with an international customer base. You'll be responsible for coordinating import and export operations, ensuring shipments are delivered efficiently, compliantly, and on time.
Working closely with suppliers, freight partners, customs authorities, and internal teams, you'll become a vital part of the supply chain function.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate international import and export shipments by road, sea, and air freight
- Prepare and manage shipping documentation, including customs paperwork and commercial invoices
- Liaise with freight forwarders, carriers, suppliers, and customers
- Ensure compliance with import/export regulations and customs requirements
- Monitor shipment progress and proactively resolve any delays or issues
- Maintain accurate shipment records and update internal systems
- Support inventory planning and stock management activities
- Produce reports and analyse logistics performance data
- Build strong working relationships with internal stakeholders and external partners
What We're Looking For
- Previous experience within import/export, logistics, shipping, supply chain, or freight forwarding
- Strong understanding of customs procedures and international trade documentation
- Excellent organisational skills with strong attention to detail
- Confident communicator with the ability to build relationships at all levels
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work to tight deadlines
- Knowledge of Incoterms would be advantageous
