Avonmouth, Bristol £28,000 - £30,000 per annum Monday to Friday | 7:30am - 5:00pm About the Role Are you a people-focused individual who thrives on building relationships and delivering outstanding customer service? We are currently recruiting for a Hire Controller to join a busy and successful operation based in Avonmouth. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys speaking with customers, managing enquiries, coordinating orders, and providing a first-class service from start to finish. As a Hire Controller, you will be responsible for managing the entire customer journey, from initial enquiry through to post-hire follow-up. You'll build strong relationships with customers, provide solutions to their requirements, and ensure that every interaction reflects a high standard of service. This position would suit someone with previous experience in customer service, hire control, hire desk, transport coordination, logistics administration, account management, or a similar customer-focused role. Key Responsibilities Managing customer enquiries via telephone, email and online platforms Processing and coordinating hire orders efficiently Building and maintaining strong customer relationships Taking ownership of customer requirements from enquiry through to completion Providing product and service information to customers Identifying opportunities to maximise revenue through upselling and cross-selling Liaising with internal departments to ensure excellent service delivery Handling customer queries and resolving issues professionally Maintaining accurate records and updating internal systems About You Previous experience within customer service, administration, hire desk, logistics, transport or a similar role Excellent communication and relationship-building skills Strong organisational and multitasking abilities Ability to work effectively within a fast-paced environment Confident using IT systems and Microsoft Office applications Proactive, positive and customer-focused approach Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills What's on Offer?
