Health & Safety Advisor (6-Month Fixed-Term Contract) Location: Hertfordshire Contract: 6-Month FTC Salary: Competitive DOE Are you a Health & Safety Advisor with experience in manufacturing, pharmaceutical, food production, FMCG, engineering, laboratory, chemical processing or other regulated operational environments ? We are seeking an experienced Health & Safety professional to support a programme of compliance audits, process reviews and continuous improvement initiatives across a complex multi-functional site. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who has worked within regulated production or operational environments and is confident driving compliance, improving systems and promoting a positive safety culture. Key Responsibilities Conduct Health & Safety audits across production, manufacturing, warehouse, laboratory and office environments. Review and update policies, procedures, SOPs, risk assessments and COSHH documentation. Identify compliance gaps and implement corrective actions. Support fire safety, PPE management and workplace safety controls. Investigate incidents and strengthen reporting and root cause analysis processes. Deliver Health & Safety training and guidance to managers and employees. Work closely with stakeholders to drive sustainable compliance improvements. Provide recommendations and progress updates to senior management. Skills & Experience NEBOSH, IOSH or equivalent Health & Safety qualification. Previous experience as a Health & Safety Advisor, HSE Advisor, Health & Safety Officer or Compliance professional. Strong understanding of UK Health & Safety legislation, auditing, risk assessments and COSHH. Experience within one or more of the following sectors: Pharmaceutical Manufacturing Food Manufacturing & Food Processing FMCG Production Chemical Processing Laboratory & Scientific Environments Engineering & Industrial Manufacturing Packaging Operations Warehousing & Distribution Other highly regulated production environments
