Location: South East Job Type: Full-time Salary: £75,000 - £100,000+ plus Bonus, Car Allowance, and Extensive Benefits

We are currently seeking an experienced General Manager to lead a large-scale operational site within a major UK distribution and supply chain business. This high-profile leadership role encompasses responsibility for operational performance, people leadership, customer service, and continuous improvement in a dynamic distribution environment.

Day-to-day of the role:

• Lead all depot operations, including warehousing and transport.
• Deliver operational and financial performance against agreed targets.
• Drive service excellence and customer satisfaction.
• Lead, coach, and develop a large operational workforce and management team.
• Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and regulatory requirements.
• Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
• Manage budgets, productivity, and labour performance.
• Build a strong succession pipeline across the operation.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a General Manager, Distribution Manager, Operations Manager, Depot Manager, Transport Manager, or Head of Logistics.
• Demonstrated ability managing complex logistics or distribution operations.
• Strong leadership skills with a track record of delivering results through operational excellence.
• Experience in sectors such as Foodservice, FMCG, Retail Distribution, Warehousing & Logistics, Wholesale Distribution, or 3PL Operations.
• Previous roles in organisations like GXO, Wincanton, DHL Supply Chain, Culina, Bidfood, Booker, Tesco, Sainsbury's, Aldi, Lidl, or similar high-volume operations would be advantageous.
