We are seeking a reliable and organised Air Freight Operations Team Member to join our team in Redhill. This role is ideal for someone with prior air freight experience who thrives in a dynamic, team-oriented environment and is committed to providing excellent customer service while ensuring smooth shipment operations.

Day-to-day of the role:

• Support the day-to-day air freight operation, ensuring shipments are handled accurately, efficiently, and to a high standard.
• Assist with import and export shipment files from booking through to completion, keeping systems and records up to date.
• Communicate with customers, airlines, overseas agents, suppliers, and internal teams to obtain and provide shipment updates.
• Prepare, check, and process air freight documentation in line with customer requirements, company procedures, and compliance standards.
• Monitor shipment milestones and follow up on any delays, issues, or missing information.
• Respond to customer queries professionally and escalate more complex issues to senior team members where required.
• Request rates, support quotations, and assist with booking arrangements when needed.
• Check supplier invoices, costs, and shipment charges, raising any discrepancies for review.
• Maintain accurate job files, system entries, and operational notes.
• Work closely with senior colleagues to resolve operational issues and support the smooth running of the department.
• Contribute to a positive, organised, and customer-focused working environment.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Solid experience within the air freight industry.
• Good understanding of air freight operations, processes, and documentation.
• Customer-focused and comfortable dealing with customers at all levels.
• Ability to work well under pressure and manage competing priorities.
• Positive attitude and enjoys working as part of a team.
