Franchise Solicitor

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Franchise Solicitor to join a well-established and highly regarded law firm in Canterbury. This role is ideal for a commercially minded solicitor eager to advance their career within a supportive and progressive environment.

Day-to-day of the role:

• Advise both franchisors and franchisees on a range of franchise matters including drafting, reviewing, and negotiating franchise agreements.
• Handle franchise renewals, variations, transfers, and exits.
• Draft and negotiate a variety of commercial contracts and agreements.
• Provide advice on the rights and obligations of parties throughout the franchise relationship.
• Support clients with the purchase and sale of franchise businesses.
• Address contractual and commercial issues arising within franchise relationships.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues across other areas of the firm as required.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing clients.
• Take an active role in networking, marketing, and business development activities.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Qualified Solicitor in England & Wales.
• Previous experience within franchise law and/or commercial contracts.
• Proficient in drafting and negotiating commercial agreements.
• Excellent communication and client relationship skills.
• Commercial awareness with a practical approach to providing legal advice.
• Ability to manage own caseload and prioritise effectively.
• Interest in networking and developing new business.
• Team player within a collaborative and supportive environment.
