Experienced School Receptionist with Administration duties needed

Are you an experienced receptionist or front-of-house professional who thrives in a busy, customer-focused environment? We are seeking a highly organised and professional Front of House Reception/ Administrator to join this city-based London School on a temporary basis.

Location: City of London, Hourly Rate: £18.60 per hour Duration: 1 Month Cover -Temporary Assignment Working Hours 07.30 -15.30

This is an excellent opportunity to become the first point of contact for pupils, staff, visitors, contractors and parents, while playing a key role in maintaining the smooth day-to-day operations of a prestigious educational setting.

As Front of House Supervisor, you will:

  • Deliver a professional and welcoming reception service
  • Manage the school switchboard and absentee line (must be competent with MITEL superset and iSAMS )
  • Welcome, register and assist visitors, staff and contractors
  • Support safeguarding procedures, visitor management and access control
  • Coordinate room bookings, facilities requests and school events
  • Liaise with contractors, HR, IT and Facilities teams
  • Support DBS verification processes and contractor compliance
  • Handle sensitive pupil, staff and parent information in line with GDPR
  • Assist with school administration, admissions enquiries and mailouts
  • Maintain accurate pupil attendance and late records
  • Support exam results days, assemblies, and wider school operations
  • Act as part of the school's Critical Incident and evacuation procedures

What We're Looking For

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Previous reception, front-of-house or school administration experience
  • Exceptional customer service and communication skills
  • Strong organisational and administrative abilities
  • Confidence managing multiple priorities in a busy environment
  • Experience handling confidential information
  • Excellent IT skills, including Microsoft Office
  • A proactive and professional approach
  • An understanding of safeguarding principles within an educational environment
