Are you a Level 6 qualified Careers Adviser passionate about transforming young people's futures?

We're seeking an experienced and motivated Careers Officer to join a forward-thinking Tower Hamlets School, supporting students to make informed decisions about higher education, apprenticeships and employment pathways. This is an exciting opportunity to play a pivotal role in raising aspirations and helping young people achieve their ambitions.

As the Careers Officer, you will provide impartial, high-quality careers information, advice and guidance to students across the school. You will work closely with teaching staff, SEND teams, pastoral leads, parents and external providers to deliver a comprehensive careers programme that supports positive student outcomes.

Key responsibilities include:

• Delivering one-to-one and group careers guidance sessions.
• Creating individual action plans and progression pathways.
• Supporting UCAS, college, sixth form and apprenticeship applications.
• Coordinating work experience placements and employer engagement activities.
• Maintaining careers data, destination tracking and reporting.
• Promoting careers opportunities through digital platforms and school communication channels.
• Supporting compliance with Gatsby Benchmarks and careers education best practice.

We're particularly keen to hear from professionals who already hold the Level 6 Diploma in Career Guidance and Development (or equivalent recognised Level 6 Careers Guidance qualification) and have experience working with young people in an educational setting.

You'll bring:

• Experience providing careers information, advice and guidance to young people
• Strong knowledge of higher education, apprenticeships and employment routes
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
• Experience maintaining accurate records and managing careers data
