Experienced Bricklayers

Location: Sheffield City Council, Manor Lane Depot, Sheffield, S2 1TR Pay Rate: £17.18 per hour PAYE | £22.32 per hour Umbrella Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am - 16:00pm Contract Length: 6 Months

Sheffield City Council are looking for two experienced Bricklayers to join their repairs and maintenance team on a full-time, 6-month contract based at Manor Lane Depot, Sheffield .

This is an excellent opportunity to work within a busy local authority environment, carrying out a wide range of day-to-day repairs and maintenance works across the city's housing and property portfolio.

Day-to-day of the role

You will be responsible for undertaking various bricklaying and external repair duties, including:

• General brickwork repairs
• Re-pointing and pointing works
• Flagging and paving repairs
• Responsive day-to-day maintenance tasks
• Carrying out repairs as directed by operational management staff
• Ensuring all work is completed safely and to a high standard
• Working both independently and as part of a wider maintenance team

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Full UK Driving Licence
• Valid Basic DBS Check
• Previous experience in bricklaying and property maintenance repairs
• Physically fit and able to undertake manual handling duties
• Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions
• Strong knowledge of health and safety practices
• NVQ Level 3 in Bricklaying
• Experience working within social housing or local authority environments
• Desirable - Valid CSCS Card
