Executive Support Assistant
Location: Guildhall, EC2V 7HH (Hybrid Working)
Job Type: Temporary contract, until 31st March 2027. Full Time.
The City of London Corporation are seeking a highly organised Executive Support Assistant to provide professional administrative and secretarial support to the senior leadership team.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is comfortable working independently, supporting Directors and senior stakeholders, and managing a varied workload in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Providing high-quality administrative and secretarial support to senior leaders and elected Members.
- Managing complex diaries, scheduling meetings and coordinating travel arrangements where required.
- Organising meetings, preparing agendas and taking accurate minutes.
- Producing professional correspondence, reports, presentations and other documentation.
- Acting as a first point of contact for enquiries from internal and external stakeholders.
- Supporting the coordination of complaints and Freedom of Information requests within statutory deadlines.
- Maintaining confidential records, filing systems and databases.
- Undertaking research and administrative project work to support senior management.
- Raising Purchase Orders and carrying out financial administration duties where required.
Essential Requirements
- Previous experience working within a Local Authority environment.
- Strong minute-taking experience.
- Experience supporting Directors, senior managers or executive-level stakeholders.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities.
- Confidence to work independently and use initiative.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent Microsoft Office skills.
Desirable
- Experience handling complaints and FOI requests.
- Financial administration experience, including purchase orders and reconciliations.
- Experience supporting leadership teams within a public sector environment.
