Exam Invigilator

I am recruiting for EXAM INVIGILATORS to work in schools in East London for the upcoming exam period

Location: East London Job Type: Casual / Ad-hoc during examination periods Rate: £15 per hour

We are seeking reliable, professional, and vigilant Exam Invigilators to support the smooth running of examinations within a school environment. Successful candidates will play a key role in ensuring exams are conducted in accordance with examination board regulations while maintaining a calm, secure, and supportive atmosphere for students.

Day-to-day of the role:

• Prepare examination rooms in accordance with examination requirements.
• Set up desks, examination materials, and equipment prior to each exam.
• Welcome candidates into the examination room and ensure they are seated correctly.
• Check attendance and verify candidate identities where required.
• Distribute and collect examination papers and materials.
• Read examination instructions clearly and accurately.
• Maintain examination conditions at all times and ensure compliance with awarding body regulations.
• Monitor candidates throughout examinations, reporting any irregularities or breaches of regulations.
• Respond appropriately to candidate queries in line with exam procedures.
• Escort students requiring additional support or toilet breaks when necessary.
• Ensure examination materials are securely returned following each session.
• Complete all required documentation and incident reports accurately.

• Ability to remain calm and focused for prolonged periods.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Comfortable working with secondary-aged students.

Desirable:

• Previous experience as an Exam Invigilator.
• Experience working within a school, college, or educational setting.
• Knowledge of JCQ examination regulations.
