Events & Volunteer Engagement Coordinator - Maidenhead - Salary circa £35,000

Our client is seeking a passionate and experienced Events & Volunteer Engagement Manager to lead the development and delivery of a dynamic events programme that raises funds, increases awareness and strengthens community engagement.

This is an exciting opportunity for an organised and relationship-focused professional who thrives on bringing people together. You will play a pivotal role in creating memorable experiences that engage supporters, volunteers, corporate partners and local communities while helping the organisation achieve its fundraising and awareness objectives.

Working closely with fundraising, marketing and community engagement teams, you will oversee events from concept through to delivery, ensuring every event is impactful, professionally executed and aligned to the organisation's wider goals.

A bit about the day to day....

• Lead the planning, delivery and evaluation of fundraising, community and awareness events across the UK.
• Develop engaging event concepts that increase participation, supporter engagement, income and brand awareness.
• Manage event logistics, including venues, suppliers, merchandise, equipment and staffing.
• Prepare and manage budgets, ensuring events are delivered efficiently and fundraising opportunities are maximised.
• Maintain an annual events calendar and ensure activities are effectively planned and resourced.
• Identify and secure sponsorship, partnership and fundraising opportunities.
• Build strong relationships with supporters, volunteers, community groups, sponsors and corporate partners.
• Recruit, train, coordinate and motivate volunteers to support event delivery.
• Work closely with fundraising and marketing teams to promote events through digital and traditional channels.
• Contribute content for social media, email campaigns and promotional materials.
• Ensure all events comply with Health & Safety, safeguarding, GDPR and organisational policies.
• Monitor attendance, income and engagement, producing reports and recommendations to improve future performance.
• Represent the organisation at events, meetings and community activities.

• Strong experience in event planning, logistics, supplier management and budget control.
• Proven ability to generate income through fundraising, sponsorship or partnerships.
• Experience recruiting and managing volunteers.
• Excellent project management, organisational and communication skills.
• Strong relationship-building and stakeholder management abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently.
• Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel nationally, including occasional evenings and weekends.
• Passionate about community engagement and fundraising.
• Proactive, organised and results-driven.
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality events.
