Emergency Support Worker

Hourly Rate: £14 to £14.82

Join the Reed Emergency Placement Support (EPS) Team as an Emergency Support Worker in the Wrexham area. This role offers a unique opportunity to provide high-quality support to vulnerable children and young people, enhancing their care experience. Day-to-day of the role:

• Provide a safe and supportive environment for children and young people.
• Engage regularly with young individuals to foster a positive environment.
• Participate actively in activities with the young person, such as playing games.
• Ensure strict compliance with safeguarding policies and procedures.
• Work closely with another support worker in a 2:1 support setting, with occasional opportunities for 1:1 support.
• Participate in mandatory annual training to stay updated on current practices.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Over 1 year’s experience working as a Social Worker or Care Assistant.
• Strong understanding of safeguarding and its importance in care.
• Proven experience in supporting young people.
• Effective communication skills.
• Must hold an Enhanced DBS with Adult and Child Barred List which is on the Update Service, or be willing to apply for this via Reed.
