The Manchester College Full-Time | Temporary Contract | £35 per Hour | Immediate Start

The Manchester College is seeking a qualified and experienced Education & Early Years Lecturer to join the Education & Early Years department on a full-time temporary basis until October half term .

This is an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic educator to deliver high-quality teaching across a range of Education & Early Years programmes, supporting both 16-18-year-old learners and Adult learners . The successful candidate will also provide tutorial support and be flexible to work across multiple college campuses depending on operational requirements.

Role Details

Job Title: Education & Early Years Lecturer

  • Full-time, 5 days per week
  • £35 per hour
  • Immediate start available
  • Temporary contract until October half term
  • Teaching across Education & Early Years programmes
  • Delivering tutorial and learner support sessions
  • Working with both 16-18 and Adult learners
  • Based at Openshaw, Harpurhey and/or Wythenshawe Campus as required

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan, prepare and deliver engaging lessons across Education & Early Years programmes.
  • Support learners to achieve their academic and personal development goals.
  • Deliver tutorial sessions and provide pastoral support where required.
  • Assess learner work and provide timely, constructive feedback.
  • Monitor learner attendance, progress and achievement.
  • Maintain accurate learner records and documentation.
  • Promote an inclusive and positive learning environment.
  • Work collaboratively with curriculum teams to support learner success.

Essential Requirements

  • Recognised teaching qualification (PGCE, Cert Ed, DET or equivalent).
  • Previous Further Education teaching experience.
  • Experience delivering Education and/or Early Years qualifications.
  • Ability to teach both 16-18-year-old and Adult learners.
  • Strong classroom management and communication skills.
  • Flexibility to work across multiple campuses when required.
  • Enhanced DBS certificate available for review.

Desirable

  • Previous experience delivering tutorial sessions.
  • Experience supporting learners within the Further Education sector.
  • Knowledge of current Education & Early Years curriculum requirements.
