Design & Technology Teacher (KS4 GCSE) - Highgate, North London

Reed Education is working in partnership with a well-regarded secondary school in Highgate to recruit an enthusiastic and skilled Design & Technology Teacher to join their team after the October half term.

This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified DT Teacher who is passionate about delivering engaging, practical lessons and inspiring students across Key Stage 4. The successful candidate will predominantly teach AQA GCSE Design & Technology , supporting students in developing their design, engineering and manufacturing skills.

The Role

  • Teach Design & Technology across KS4 GCSE (AQA specification)
  • Deliver engaging lessons focused on product design and technological innovation
  • Support students working with CAD (Computer-Aided Design) and CAM (Computer-Aided Manufacturing)
  • Develop students' understanding of 3D design and manufacturing technologies
  • Create a positive and inclusive learning environment where students can thrive
  • Monitor student progress and provide effective feedback to support achievement

The Ideal Candidate

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
  • Experience teaching Design & Technology within a UK secondary school
  • Strong knowledge of the AQA GCSE DT curriculum
  • Experience using or teaching CAD/CAM technologies and 3D design processes
  • Ability to motivate and engage learners of varying abilities
  • Strong classroom management and communication skills
