Long-Term Temporary Opportunity | Reed Education Reed Education is seeking an enthusiastic and skilled Design & Technology Teacher with experience in Resistant Materials and Food Technology to join a welcoming secondary school. The Role
You will be responsible for delivering engaging and effective Design & Technology lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, with a focus on Resistant Materials and Food Technology . The successful candidate will encourage creativity, problem-solving, and practical skills while supporting students to achieve their full potential.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging D&T lessons in Resistant Materials and Food Technology.
- Assess, monitor, and support student progress.
- Create a safe and inclusive learning environment within workshops and food technology facilities.
- Maintain high standards of behaviour and classroom management.
- Contribute positively to the wider school community.
The Ideal Candidate
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- Experience teaching Design & Technology within a secondary school setting.
- Strong subject knowledge in Resistant Materials and Food Technology.
- Excellent classroom management skills.
- Passionate about encouraging creativity and practical learning.
- Committed to raising attainment and pupil engagement.
