Dance Tutor

Daily Rate: £180 PAYE or £210 Umbrella Location: East London Job Type: Contract Start Date: ASAP

We are seeking a dynamic Dance Tutor to join our Performing Arts Team This position involves teaching FE students aged 16-19 both the theory and practical aspects of dance. The role is part of a vibrant and immersive two-year UAL Level 3 Extended Diploma programme that combines acting, dance, and production elements.

Day-to-day of the role:

• Deliver engaging dance lessons in various styles such as tap, ballet, and Afro-fusion, ensuring a blend of practical skills and theoretical knowledge.
• Contribute to the course curriculum that covers a wide range of disciplines including screen acting, audition techniques, and set design.
• Assess student performance and provide constructive feedback to help students grow and excel in their dance and performance skills.
• Collaborate with other tutors and staff to enhance the interdisciplinary approach of the programme.
• Motivate students to develop their unique creative voices and build their performance confidence.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a Dance Tutor or similar role, with the ability to teach both theory and practical aspects of dance.
• Strong knowledge of various dance styles and the ability to teach students of different skill levels.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to inspire and engage young adults.
• Creative and dynamic teaching approach.
• Professional training in dance or a related field is highly desirable.
