A large secondary school in Waltham Forest is looking to recruit experienced Cover Supervisors for a September 2026 start.

The school is seeking confident, reliable and adaptable individuals with previous experience working in UK classrooms. This is an excellent opportunity for experienced Cover Supervisors who are passionate about supporting students and maintaining a positive learning environment.

The successful candidate will be proactive, engaging and ready to get stuck in as part of a supportive and collaborative school team.

The Role

  • Deliver pre-planned lessons across a range of subjects
  • Manage classroom behaviour in line with school policies
  • Ensure students remain on task and engaged with their learning
  • Provide feedback to teaching staff following lessons
  • Support the smooth day-to-day running of the school
  • Create a positive and productive classroom environment

Requirements

  • Previous experience working as a Cover Supervisor or within UK secondary school classrooms
  • Strong classroom management skills
  • Confidence delivering lessons to groups of students
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • A positive, energetic and adaptable approach
  • Ability to build positive relationships with students and staff
