Senior Project Manager

Job Type: Contract (3-6 months, Hybrid)

Location : On-site and office-based, minimum 3 days per week

Day rate: £450 per day umbrella

We are seeking a Senior Project Manager with extensive construction-based knowledge and experience in delivering major multi-million-pound projects. This role involves managing significant redevelopment projects including market town centres, construction of a library, and refurbishment of a Grade 2 listed building into a special school. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing these projects from inception through to completion, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities:

• Lead the planning, coordination, and delivery of construction projects, ensuring all aspects are aligned with project goals.
• Work closely with the principal contractor during the stage 4 detail design of the town centre library construction.
• Oversee the redevelopment of the market town centre, which includes both demolition and refurbishment.
• Manage the £10 million refurbishment project of a Grade 2 listed building into a special school.
• Implement new procedures and standards across projects to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
• Ensure compliance with legal, statutory, and regulatory requirements throughout the project lifecycle.
• Maintain strong, effective communication with all stakeholders, including regular project updates and stakeholder meetings.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a Project Manager in the construction sector, with a track record of delivering large-scale projects.
• Familiarity with PRINCE2 or similar project management methodologies.
• Strong leadership skills and the ability to manage multi-disciplinary teams.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities and capacity to manage complex project requirements.
• Knowledge of current construction legislation, including CDM Regulations 2015 and Building Control requirements.
• Proficient in MS Project or similar project management software.
