CLASS 2 HGV DRIVER – SOUTHAMPTON – TEMP-PERM
About the company
Our client is expanding their successful pallet network operation and is seeking a reliable and professional Class 2 Driver to join their friendly transport team. Your tasks
As a Class 2 Driver, you will be responsible for delivering and collecting palletised freight across Southampton and surrounding areas.
- Multi-drop deliveries and collections of palletised goods
- Typically 12-16 deliveries/collections per day
- Operating a Class 2 curtain-side vehicle
- Loading and unloading using a tail lift and pump truck
- Completing daily vehicle checks and defect reports
- Using handheld devices to capture delivery information and PODs
- Providing excellent customer service at delivery points
- Liaising with the transport office throughout the day
Requirements
Are you an experienced Class 2 HGV Driver looking for a long-term opportunity with a growing and supportive business in Southampton?
Digital Tachograph Card Good driving record (ideally no more than 6 points)
Ability to work independently and efficiently Pallet network or multi-drop experience desirable but not essential
What we offer
£18.00 - £19.00 per hour (Umbrella) | Immediate Start | Temp to Perm
Overtime opportunities available Saturday work on a rota basis (1 in every 4-5 weeks)
Company pension scheme 20 days holiday plus bank holidays (upon permanent employment)
