Children's Social Worker- Kinship Team

Our client, a Greater Manchester council is seeking a Children’s Social Worker to join their Kinship Team

Responsibilities of this role:

• Undertake assessments of kinship carers and connected persons to determine their suitability to care for children within their family network.
• Manage a caseload of children living in kinship care arrangements, ensuring their safety, wellbeing, and long-term stability.
• Complete statutory visits, care planning, and reviews in line with relevant legislation, policies, and court requirements.
• Support children, kinship carers, and families through assessment, permanency planning, and placement arrangements.
• Prepare high-quality reports for court proceedings, fostering panels, and statutory reviews within required timescales.
• Work collaboratively with children, families, legal services, education, health professionals, and partner agencies to achieve positive outcomes.
• Provide advice, guidance, and ongoing support to kinship carers, helping them access services, resources, and financial support where appropriate.

Requirements of this role:

• Must be a Qualified Social Worker, registered with Social Work England.
• Must have minimum of 3 year's experience working as a Qualified social worker
