We are looking for caring, resilient, and enthusiastic Residential Support Workers to join a children's residential service in Ledbury. This is a rewarding opportunity to become a positive role model and provide the stability, encouragement, and support that children need to thrive.
No two days are the same in residential childcare. You'll play a vital role in helping young people build confidence, develop independence, and enjoy positive life experiences within a safe and nurturing home environment.
The Role
As a Residential Support Worker, you will work closely with children and young people, supporting their emotional, social, and practical needs while ensuring their safety and wellbeing at all times.
Key Responsibilities
- Supporting children and young people with daily routines, activities, and appointments.
- Promoting and safeguarding their health, wellbeing, and welfare at all times.
- Building positive and trusting relationships with young people.
- Supporting individuals who may require higher levels of care, supervision, and emotional support.
- Assisting with household duties including cooking, cleaning, laundry, and food shopping.
- Encouraging participation in education, hobbies, and community activities.
- Creating daily plans and timetables to provide structure and routine.
- Completing reports, maintaining records, and managing essential paperwork.
- Working closely with colleagues and external professionals to ensure the best outcomes for young people.
