We are recruiting for a Caseworker (Domestic Abuse) to join a respected women's support service in Birmingham. This is a rewarding opportunity for someone passionate about supporting women facing complex challenges and helping them build safer, more independent futures.
Working within a trauma-informed environment, you will support women experiencing domestic abuse, mental ill-health, housing difficulties, financial hardship, offending behaviour, and substance misuse. You'll provide practical and emotional support, advocate on clients' behalf, and help women overcome barriers to achieve positive outcomes.
Package & Benefits
- Salary: £26,000 - £31,000 per annum
- 37 hours per week
- Hybrid working available with 1 day working from home per week
- Mileage expenses reimbursed for business travel
- Birmingham-based role with community and partnership working
The Role
- Manage a caseload of women with multiple and complex needs.
- Complete assessments and develop person-centred support plans.
- Provide practical and emotional support around housing, benefits, finances, health, employment and family issues.
- Support women affected by domestic abuse to improve safety, wellbeing and independence.
- Advocate on behalf of clients and attend appointments when required.
- Attend multi-agency meetings, safeguarding conferences and MARACs.
- Develop strong working relationships with partner agencies and stakeholders.
- Maintain accurate case management records and reports.
Travel Requirements
The role is primarily based across Birmingham; however, you will also support women transitioning back into the community. These visits are planned in advance, and mileage is reimbursed.
About You

- Experience supporting vulnerable women or individuals with complex needs.
- Knowledge of domestic abuse, safeguarding and trauma-informed practice.
- Experience managing a caseload and achieving positive client outcomes.
- Strong advocacy, communication and relationship-building skills.
- Experience working collaboratively with external agencies and professionals.
- A compassionate, resilient and non-judgemental approach.
- A full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle .
