Purchasing Administrator / Junior Buyer Location: Manchester Salary: £27,000 - £30,000 Job Type: Permanent, Full Time Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 09:00 - 17:30 Working Pattern: Office Based

About the Opportunity Our client is seeking a highly organised and detail-oriented individual to join their Procurement team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to build a long-term career within Purchasing and Supply Chain. This is not a traditional buying role and previous buying experience is not essential. The position is focused on ensuring purchase orders, supplier information, stock data and customer requirements are accurate and aligned. Full training will be provided, with genuine opportunities to develop into a Buyer role as your experience grows.

Key Responsibilities Raise, process and manage purchase orders. Check supplier confirmations and documentation against purchase orders. Verify product details, quantities, pricing and delivery schedules. Monitor live sales and purchase orders to ensure accuracy. Track incoming stock and supplier deliveries. Identify and resolve discrepancies relating to pricing, quantities and dates. Maintain accurate procurement records and administrative documentation. Liaise with suppliers and internal departments to ensure orders progress smoothly. Support wider procurement and supply chain activities. Ensure systems and data remain accurate and up to date.

About You Previous administration experience is desirable. Excellent attention to detail and accuracy. Strong organisational and time management skills. Comfortable working with numbers, spreadsheets and data. Good IT skills, including Microsoft Excel. A proactive and methodical approach to work. Strong communication skills. Keen to build a career within Procurement, Purchasing or Supply Chain. Willing to learn and develop within a growing business.
