Business Development Lead

Reed have partnered with a manufacturing and engineering business based in Cheddar, Somerset recruiting for a Business Development Lead on a full-time, permanent basis .
Working closely with the Branch Manager and wider sales team, you'll take ownership of internal sales and business development activities, helping to drive growth through both new and existing customer accounts.
Salary: £29,000 - £32,000 per annum Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM (40-hour week)
Key Responsibilities:
- Handle customer enquiries via telephone and email in a professional and timely manner
- Proactively identify and develop new business opportunities from dormant and prospective accounts
- Prepare, issue and manage quotations, ensuring customers are updated throughout the process
- Follow up quotations, purchase orders and sales opportunities to maximise conversion rates
- Manage enquiries generated through lead generation campaigns and marketing activities
- Build strong customer relationships and deliver exceptional levels of customer service
- Liaise with Area Sales Managers regarding opportunities, quotations and sales activity
- Maintain accurate records, notes and documentation within company systems
- Support company sales strategies and contribute towards branch growth objectives
- Complete general sales administration and support the wider branch where required

- Previous experience within sales, business development, internal sales or a similar customer-focused environment
- Proven track record of building relationships and generating business opportunities
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Professional and confident telephone manner
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
- Self-motivated with the ability to work on your own initiative and as part of a team
- Ability to remain calm under pressure and effectively manage competing priorities
