About the company
Reed Accountancy are currently assisting a leading-edge company based in Burgess Hill who are seeking a Billing Service Supervisor to oversee the daily operations of their billing department, ensuring all processes are executed accurately and efficiently in line with established Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
Your tasks
Day-to-day of the role
- Daily Supervision: Manage and organise the daily workflow of the department, ensuring that deadlines are consistently met.
- Team Development: Provide ongoing support to the department, identifying skill gaps and training needs.
- Workload Management: Monitor workload, allocate tasks, and support operations with billing tasks and reporting during peak periods.
- Cycle Management: Oversee monthly billing cycles and recharge reporting, ensuring data integrity.
- Billing Strategy Support: Develop and implement complex billing strategies.
- Error Reduction: Audit outputs to identify and correct recurring data errors.
- Query Support: Act as the escalation point for complex billing disputes.
- Root-Cause Investigation: Analyse billing anomalies and collaborate on long-term fixes.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with commercial operations and development teams to ensure efficient operations.
Requirements
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Proven Experience: Minimum of 3–5 years in a billing operation, with at least 1 year in a supervisory capacity.
- Advanced Numerical Skills: Strong mathematical and analytical skills.
- Technical Proficiency: Advanced user of Microsoft Excel and familiar with enterprise billing software.
- People Skills: Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Problem-Solving: Highly organized with the ability to diagnose and solve billing errors.
