About the role

£32,500 - £35,000 (Depending on Experience) | Hybrid Working (4 Days Office, 1 Day Home)

An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Billing Assistant to join a busy finance team. This role would suit someone with billing, sales ledger or accounts receivable experience gained within a fast-paced, high-volume invoicing environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Raising and processing high volumes of customer invoices.
  • Supporting end-to-end billing activities, including applications for payment and consolidated billing.
  • Uploading and managing invoices via customer portals.
  • Processing credit notes and resolving billing discrepancies.
  • Maintaining accurate records of billed and unbilled work.
  • Assisting with reconciliations and ensuring all billable activity is captured.
  • Investigating and resolving customer billing queries.
  • Liaising with operational teams to obtain accurate billing information.
  • Supporting process improvement and system enhancement projects.

About You

  • Previous experience within Billing, Sales Ledger or Accounts Receivable.
  • Experience working in a high-volume invoicing environment.
  • Background within construction, contract services, facilities management, engineering, manufacturing or hire businesses would be advantageous.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work to deadlines.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.
  • NetSuite experience would be highly desirable.
