Northumberland Area £30,000 Full-Time Equivalent (Pro Rata for 22 Hours) 22 Hours Per Week | Permanent | Friday to Sunday

A friendly and well-established hospitality venue is looking to recruit an experienced Bar Manager to oversee the day-to-day running of the bar and help create a welcoming environment for customers and residents alike.

This is an excellent opportunity for an organised and hands-on hospitality professional who enjoys a varied role and can confidently manage all aspects of bar operations. The venue has a relaxed, community-focused atmosphere and serves a loyal customer base throughout the year.

The Role

As Bar Manager, you will be responsible for managing the smooth operation of the bar during trading hours, ensuring excellent customer service, maintaining stock levels and helping deliver popular events including quiz and bingo nights.

This is a hands-on position where you'll be expected to lead by example and support with serving customers and general cleaning duties when required.

Key Responsibilities

  • Open and close the venue in line with company procedures
  • Manage the day-to-day running of the bar
  • Order, monitor and control stock levels
  • Deliver excellent customer service at all times
  • Organise and oversee quiz nights and bingo events
  • Ensure the bar remains clean, organised and fully stocked
  • Support with serving food and drinks when required
  • Assist with cleaning and general venue presentation
  • Maintain licensing, health & safety and hospitality standards
  • Create a friendly and welcoming atmosphere for customers and residents

This is a welcoming hospitality venue located within a popular holiday park environment. The business has built a strong reputation for providing a relaxed and friendly atmosphere for both visitors and long-standing residents.

The owners are semi-retired and are looking for someone who can take ownership of the bar operation while maintaining the warm, community-focused culture that customers value.

Requirements

Essential Skills & Experience

  • Previous experience managing or supervising within a bar, pub or hospitality environment
  • Experience with stock ordering and stock control
  • Strong customer service and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and take ownership of the venue
  • Confident opening and closing hospitality operations
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills
  • Flexible and hands-on approach to work
  • Reliable, professional and personable manner
  • Ability to work weekends on a regular basis

Salary & Benefits

  • £30,000 full-time equivalent salary (pro rata for 22 hours)
