Letchworth Garden City - £32,000 - £37,000 per annum (DOE) Full Time | Permanent The Opportunity We are currently recruiting for an experienced Assistant Warehouse Manager to join a busy and growing business based in Letchworth Garden City. This is a fantastic opportunity for a hands-on warehouse professional looking to take the next step in their career. Working closely with the Warehouse Manager, you will play a key role in the day-to-day operation, ensuring orders are processed efficiently, stock accuracy is maintained, and the warehouse team continues to deliver excellent service levels. The successful candidate will be confident leading a team from the front, thrive in a fast-paced environment, and be committed to maintaining high standards across warehouse operations. Key Responsibilities Supporting the Warehouse Manager with the daily running of the warehouse. Supervising, motivating and developing the warehouse team. Planning workloads and allocating duties to ensure customer deadlines are met. Overseeing the accurate receipt, storage and dispatch of stock. Monitoring stock levels and carrying out regular stock checks. Investigating and resolving stock discrepancies. Liaising with internal departments to ensure smooth operational workflow. Maintaining high standards of housekeeping, health & safety, and organisation. Providing management cover during periods of absence. Quality & Compliance You will also support the business in maintaining quality and compliance standards by: Following company procedures and warehouse processes. Maintaining accurate stock records and product traceability. Ensuring warehouse housekeeping and hygiene standards are consistently met. Supporting internal and external audits. Identifying and reporting any quality, safety or compliance concerns.

Essential Previous experience in a Warehouse Supervisor, Team Leader or Assistant Warehouse Manager role Experience leading and motivating warehouse teams Strong organisational and communication skills Good IT skills and attention to detail Proactive approach with a strong focus on quality, accuracy and safety Counterbalance Forklift Licence Flexi Truck Licence Experience within logistics, manufacturing or packaging environments Previous experience working to BRCGS standards Benefits Salary between £32,000 - £37,000 DOE 23 days annual leave plus bank holidays Company pension scheme If you're an experienced warehouse professional looking for your next challenge and want to join a company that invests in its people, we'd love to hear from you.
