My client an energy consultancy based in Central London are seeking an Assistant Accountant for their French and Italian entities. This role is crucial for managing the end-to-end transactional finance operations, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in their financial processes.
Your tasks
*Accounts Payable*
- Process and post supplier invoices in NetSuite, ensuring accurate allocations and timely payment runs.
- Manage supplier relationships, including reconciliations and dispute resolutions.
- Maintain and update the supplier master file in compliance with financial controls.
Accounts Receivable & Credit Control
- Issue accurate client invoices and manage cash applications.
- Conduct structured collections for overdue invoices and maintain a clean customer ledger.
Reconciliations & Month-End Close
- Perform daily and weekly bank reconciliations and ensure timely month-end close activities.
- Prepare financial reports and revenue breakdowns by entity and project.
Requirements
Languages Required: Fluent French and English; Italian is a strong advantage.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Languages: Fluency in French and English is mandatory; Italian is highly beneficial.
- Qualification: Part-qualified ACCA/CIMA or equivalent, or AAT-qualified with substantial experience in AP, AR, and credit control.
- Systems: Must have practical experience with NetSuite. Familiarity with multi-currency environments and specific accounting systems is advantageous.
- Competencies: Exceptional attention to detail, strong organisational skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently. Must be proactive in improving systems and processes.
