Air Freight Coordinator - Exports

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join a growing international freight forwarding and supply chain organisation. As part of a successful Airfreight team, you'll play a key role in managing export shipments, building customer relationships and delivering high levels of service.

You'll be responsible for coordinating export airfreight shipments from initial booking through to departure. You'll ensure freight moves smoothly, compliantly and in line with customer requirements, while providing a high level of service throughout the process.

Working with customers, airlines, transport providers and overseas agents, you'll use systems such as CargoWise, Pathway and WebCargo to manage shipments, produce quotations and maintain accurate operational records.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate export airfreight shipments from booking through to final departure.
• Arrange collections, airline bookings and export customs requirements.
• Prepare and check export documentation, including HAWBs, MAWBs and pre-alerts.
• Monitor shipment progress, manage airline cut-off times and resolve any operational issues.
• Keep CargoWise records updated to ensure accurate tracking and visibility.
• Produce and follow up on airfreight quotations using WebCargo.
• Complete shipment costing and invoicing accurately.
• Build effective relationships with customers, carriers, suppliers and overseas partners.
• Ensure compliance with customer procedures, customs regulations and aviation security requirements.

The successful candidate will be an organised and customer-focused airfreight professional with hands-on export experience and a proactive approach to problem-solving.

Requirements

• Previous experience managing export airfreight shipments.
• Good understanding of airfreight documentation and export customs procedures.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to prioritise workloads and manage multiple shipments simultaneously.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• A positive, solutions-driven attitude with a willingness to take ownership.
• Experience using CargoWise and WebCargo
• Experience producing freight quotations - desirable
• Knowledge of UK export customs declarations.
