The Opportunity

A well-established and growing accountancy practice in Hadleigh is seeking an experienced Accounts Relationship Manager to join their friendly and professional team. This is an excellent opportunity for an individual who enjoys building strong client relationships while providing high-quality accounting and business support services.

Working closely with a portfolio of SME clients, you will act as a trusted advisor, managing client relationships and ensuring the delivery of exceptional service. The practice offers genuine long-term career progression opportunities within a supportive and collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Managing and developing relationships with a portfolio of business clients.
• Acting as the main point of contact for client queries and advisory matters.
• Reviewing statutory accounts, management accounts and tax compliance work.
• Liaising with business owners to understand their objectives and provide commercial insight.
• Coordinating work across internal teams to ensure deadlines are met.
• Identifying opportunities to add value through additional services and support.
• Conducting client meetings and maintaining regular communication.
• Supporting and mentoring junior members of the team where required.

Candidate Requirements

• Previous experience within an accountancy practice environment is essential.
• Strong understanding of accounts preparation and client relationship management.
• AAT, ACCA or ACA qualified/part-qualified considered.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage multiple client relationships effectively.
• Commercially minded with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
