Job Title: Accounts Assistant

Location: Walsall

Salary: £30,000 - £35,000

Top of the salary range will be offered to a candidate with proven experience managing Accounts processes up to Trial Balance.

We are currently recruiting for a lovely, family-feel company based in Walsall. This role is based in a small and supportive team that are long standing, the company are passionate about the people and looking after their staff! This role is stand-alone, in that the successful candidate holds full responsibility of the company accounts and reports directly to the owner of the company. It’s an exciting opportunity to make a positive impact from day one and really create a home in a company for the long term!

Responsibilities Will Include:

• Manage accounts payable processes, including invoice processing and vendor payments.
• Full responsibility of the bank accounts, ensuring they are reconciled and accurate.
• Manage all company payments in and out, keeping track of direct debit payments and payments from customers.
• Work closely with an outsourced Accountant to complete audits, quarterly accounts and year end accounts.

Ideally, You Will:

• Have previous experience working in a varied Accounts role, although there is a hand over period this does require a candidate that can hit the ground running!
• Have exposure to or experience using Sage 50, as this is the system used by the company.
• As you will be solely responsible for managing the Accounts day-to-day, a keen eye for detail is essential!
